Charity of Choice

The Mooloolaba Yacht Club are proud to announce Rosies as the beneficiary of the 2019 Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade.

Rosies reaches out to those most in need, those people who are abandoned, marginalised, socially isolated within our communities. Rosies conducts more than 220 outreaches a month across 11 branches in Queensland.

5.6 million Australians, that is one in four of us, are lonely almost all of the time or on a regular basis.
66% seek friendship as a remedy to loneliness.

While many organisations are increasingly providing awareness, support, and referral, the greater human need is the need for friendship and unconditional acceptance during difficult times. Rosies volunteers aim to do just that, providing a community of belonging that is always there.

Rosies has been up on the Sunshine Coast in Caloundra since 2000, working hard through the street outreach program to give support and friendship to those in need.

They meet on Tuesday and Friday evenings at Felicity Park, Bulcock St, Caloundra and on the first Saturday of the month at Happy Valley, Bulcock Beach, Caloundra.
